This time I was helped set the tables and clean up after the people left. This time I had more of a chance to get to talk to them. I would set the tables with a napkin and a spoon and a fork. After the people would get up to leave, I would clean where they were and put down the stuff again. I would talk to every few every now and then. I would ask them what they did and how they were. You know just small talk. How they are and what they do. It was fun and the time went by fast. Getting to know some of the people felt nice.
By talking to the people there i was about to be friendly conversation. I learned about some of there personal life. They disclosed information I wasn't expecting but I guess they had reason to trust me. It took me a while to warm up to them because I didn't know what to say and I didn't want to offend anyone. It was easy to tell what they were feeling and some body languages. Like i said it was good to be able to talk to them and I will have to do it again.
I have learned its ok to ask people about how they are. I was always worried that I would be stepping on someones toes or making someone feel uncomfortable with I asked them. I feel as though I might be imposing on them since I am rather big which to me would seem that I feel bad for them and that is why I am doing what I am. I didn't get anything bad, just a lot of thanks and stuff that made me feel good about doing what I was doing.

The First Time at Cafe on the Vines
What I did was I helped serve the food to the people who needed it. Given the small chance to communicate with them, I didn't get to get much information. All I got to ask them was if they wanted the food, and how their day was. I felt bad for most of them. Some of them would say "Im doing good", or "Its alright". I could tell it could have been better, but I guess its better to be positive about it. I was able to talk to the other people working there though.
Like I said I didnt get all that much of a chance to talk to the customer. The other volunteers are very nice people. We gave a little bit of information about each other, Just getting to know one another. Disclosing some information. Getting to know them was good, and it makes me want to go back and do more.
I can now use what I have learned to be able to get over my problem with talking with people I don't know.

Blog #1 The Beginning!
Lets start this off!
My hopes for this leaning project is to be able to communicate better with people and have a more longer lasting meaningful conversation with them. I want to be able to comfortably talk to any random person with the confidence that I don't need to worry about what to say and think about what to say.
I hope that working with which ever group I choose will be a fun and interesting choice. I would like to enjoy my time, and not be bored doing it.
I planned on working with Cafe on the Vines. I know they feed people that can't afford to pay for food for them and/or their families.
I enjoying people helping people that need it. I have more than most people and I like to give back. I wish I could give more.
1. My hopes for this learning project is to learn how to communicate better and have a better and more lasting conversation with random people that I don't know.
2. I assume that It will be rather fun, but also some difficult work.
3. I know that they help out people in need by feeding them and giving them stuff that will help them out.
4. They serve the needy, people with not enough resources to provide food for themselves or their families
5. I enjoy helping people with less that me. I want to give back the the community. You know, the typical stuff you would hear.
